Does OutViral work without an account?

Yes. Free users can analyze up to 10 accounts per day (30 posts each) without creating an account. Just install the extension and start using it.

Which platforms are supported?

Instagram and TikTok profile grids are fully supported. We show badges on the post thumbnail grid of any creator profile.

How is the outlier score calculated?

We calculate the median view count across the account's recent posts, then display each post as a multiple of that median. A post with x10 means it got 10× the account's typical views.

What do the badge colors mean?

Gray = x1–x1.9 (around average), Purple = x2–x9, Red = x10–x99, Yellow = x100+. Posts below 2× the median don't get a badge.

How many posts does it analyze?

Free plan: 30 posts per account. Pro plan: 300 posts per account.

What is the 24h growth indicator?

Pro users see a ↑ arrow on posts that have grown since their last visit. OutViral compares the current view count to the snapshot from your previous visit.

Can I use it for competitor research?

Absolutely. That's one of the most popular use cases — open a competitor's profile and instantly see which of their posts went viral.

Does OutViral store my data?

No. All analysis happens locally in your browser. We don't send post data to any server. View counts are stored locally in Chrome to power the 24h growth feature.

How do I cancel my Pro subscription?

You can cancel anytime from your account page. Your Pro access remains active until the end of the billing period.

Does it work on private accounts?

Only if you are logged into Instagram/TikTok and have access to that account. OutViral reads what your browser can already see.
